StumbleUpon Launches Su.pr (URL Shortening Service)

We already know that StumbleUpon is popular webpages aggregator, where people find popular web content and rate them, if found useful. After twitter gaining popularity, many url shortening services have emerged. Tiny url was one of the popular url shortening service till Twitter crowns Bit.ly as the king of short links. StumbleUpon have now launched Su.pr, another url shortening service. It may not be just another url shortening service rather it might be a trend management, analytics and metrics based service.

Millions of people share links to via email, on Twitter, on Facebook, et cetera. Su.pr might analyze that sharing activity. Is stumbleupon eyeing to dethrone bit.ly (official url shortening service for twitter)?
