Send large size files with Fileai – Uploading file to server not Required

Sending large files via email is a real pain. You cannot send very large directly as an email attachment. You first need to upload the file on free file hosting service and then provide the link to the recipient to download it.

In BitTorrent Protocol, when someone is sending the same files to multiple people, they are able to transfer directly with one another, resulting in faster download speeds for the downloaders, and reduced upload bandwith usage for the uploader.

It works on web browser like Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. Make sure your computer have a recent version of Java installed.

How does fileai.com work?

fileai.com works by running a Java Applet in your web browser. It automatically connects you to the people that you want to transfer files with. Leave your browser window open while running the Java Applet so that you can connect and transfer files with people using fileai.com.

How to Send Large files via fileai.com?

1.       Open fileai and then Click “Send Files”.

2.       Click “Run or Trust” if asked to allow the Java Applet to start.

3.       Drag-and-drop the files from your Desktop or Explorer / Finder window onto the blue drop folder.

4.       If you are sending the critical data then you have an option to enter a password before they can receive your files, click the “Require a Password for this Transfer?” link before you drag-and-drop your files.

5.       If someone has provided you with a Transfer ID (A Transfer ID is a unique number that identifies a transfer across fileai.com) to send the files, then click the “Already have a Transfer ID to send to?” link, enter the Transfer ID, and drag-and-drop your files. The files will immediately start being sent to them.

6.       If someone has not given you a Transfer ID to send with, the Transfer ID and Link will be displayed, allowing you to give (via IM, e-mail, over the phone, etc.) the ID or Link to the person (or persons) that you want to receive the files.

How to receive large files via fileai.com?

1.       Open fileai and then Click “Receive Files”.

2.       Click “Run or Trust” if asked to allow the Java Applet to start.

3.       Click “Browse” to choose the folder where you want the files downloaded to.

4.       If you want people to have to enter a password before they can send files to you, click the “Require a Password for this Transfer?” link before choosing your download folder.

5.       If someone has given you a Transfer ID to receive with, simply click the “Already have a Transfer ID to receive with?” link, enter the Transfer ID, and choose your download folder. The files will immediately start being downloaded to your computer.

6.       If someone has not given you a Transfer ID to receive with, the Transfer ID and Link will be displayed, allowing you to give (via IM, e-mail, over the phone, etc.) the ID or Link to the person (or persons) that you want to send files to you.
