Amazon S3 is used to store and retrieve images and media files at any time, from anywhere on the web. Many bloggers and webmasters use Amazon S3 to host their Image and other files to handle sudden increase in traffic (arising from Digg, Technorati, StumbleUpon). S3Fox Organizer (S3Fox) is yet another firefox extension that allows you to upload or download files to and from Amazon S3. Currently, S3Fox only allows file uploads/downloads upto 2GB. The interface is simple and resembles like that of FTP clients with a dual-pane layout. S3Fox displays files on your PC on the left, files on Amazon S3 on the right, and status or information on the bottom.

  1. A Front-end tool for Amazon S3 with a simple Interface.
  2. Upload/Download multiple files using a user friendly interface - S3Fox has FTP layout to transfer files between your Local PC and Amazon S3. Open S3Fox full view from the menu “Tools”->S3Fox Organizer (or) click the icon on the status bar to open the Drop-box.
  3.  Manage S3 Cloud Front Distributions - S3 Cloud Front is the web service for content delivery. You can create and edit the urls of your buckets very easily in S3Fox. Right-click on the files/bucket to get the distribution list.
  4.  Modifying Access Control Policies - S3Fox allows you to set Permissions and Access Control on your files in S3. Right-click on a bucket/file and choose “Edit ACL” to set permissions.
  5.  Synchronize Folders with local system and S3 – Just Click on the “Synchronize Folders” on the top to add local and remote directories information.
  6.  Drag-n-Drop Files - You can also drag-n-drop files from Windows Explorer on to the drop-box. Drop Box can be opened directly from the status bar.
  7.  Create/edit and use multiple S3 accounts - Multiple accounts for each site can be added easily. You can even upload/transfer to multiple accounts simultaneously.
  8.  Create time limited urls - You can create Time Limited Access Urls. i.e. generate urls that become inactive after a certain period. Right-click on a file and click “Get Pre-signed Urls”.
  9. Log View - You can view the current tasks in separate panel and all the activity in the Log View
  10.  Works on Windows, Linux and Mac
