Kindle for PC Lets you Read Kindle Books on Computer

Kindle for PC has been released as a free application by Amazon and is available for download.  Kindle for PC, Amazon’s e-reader software for Windows lets you read Kindle books on computer. Kindle for PC can be used on any PC running Windows XP with Service Pack 2+, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. Mac OS users need to wait for sometime as Kindle for Mac is currently unavailable. Once the Kindle for PC application is downloaded, you need to buy Kindle books from the Kindle Store to read them from your computer.

• Access your Kindle books even if you don’t have your Kindle with you
• Automatically synchronizes your last page read and annotations between devices with Whispersync functionality so that you can easily switch between devices (Kindle, Kindle for iPhone, Kindle for PC) and pick up reading from where you last left off.
• Create bookmarks and view the annotations you created on your Kindle.
• If you have a Kindle and Kindle book library, you can easily access Kindle books stored in your Kindle library via Archived Items on Kindle for PC.
• Periodicals such as newspapers, magazines, and blogs, and personal documents cannot be viewed on Kindle for PC.
• Annotating books functionality is not available in the Kindle for PC application.
