Raptor-Multiple Rapidshare Files Downloader for Mac and Windows

Raptor is a free download manager for a rapidshare. There is no need to look for a correct button or follow link or wait parts to download. Just add the links and select the folder to save these files. It will automatically download the files. The default language set to the tool is Russian which is somewhat problematic during installation. Following are the self explanatory screenshots that will guide you how to change the language to English in Raptor. Once set, you can download the rapidshare files easily.

 How to use Raptor?

• To start download click on ‘Add Download’ in the toolbar or click the orange ‘+’ button in menu.
• Add or insert one or more links (URL). Select the folder where you wish to download the files and then click ‘Start Now’ button. The file should now be downloaded to the desired location.

Troubleshooting Tips-

Q1-Sometimes Raptor does not start. What can be the issue?

Answer-Raptor can’t start without .NET Framework 2.0 or higher version. First download the Microsoft .NET framework.

Q2-Sometimes Raptor does not download files, In that case what can be done?

Answer- Make sure that your internet connection is working properly. Check if your firewall is blocking the file to download or check whether Anti-Virus settings block access of application to the network. Make sure you are using correct rapidshare proxy settings, if any in the setting panel of the application. It is advisable to leave the proxy settings to default. But if you are using static IP address, like in the company, then you must enter the same IP address as you have entered in your IE browser, otherwise you will not be able to download the file.

Q3-When run Raptor, you get an error that says-

Configuration File Error (Can’t Save Configuration File). Operating system: Vista.

What is the error all about and what should I do to get rid of it?

Answer- To avoid errors during initialization application must run as administrator. To do that just right mouse click on the Raptor’s icon and in context menu select “Run as administrator”. Then run the raptor. Voilla!!! The error has gone.
