Quickly Resend Message in Outlook Express & Windows Mail

While working with Outlook Express or Windows Mail, if you enter a wrong e-mail address, or want to send the same message to another person, or if some error occurred during the message delivery, you need to compose the message again which is time consuming and very annoying. You cannot resend the same mail again with a single click.

Generally, we try one of the following methods to resend the email.

·         Open the original message in the Outlook Express Sent Items folder, copy the e-mail body and paste it into a new message.

·         Forward your original message, then edit out the headers and remove “Fwd: ” from the Subject line. This works only if you have enabled “include message in reply” under Tools -> Options -> Send.

·         Save the message to the *.eml file. Open the saved file in the text editor and add this line to the headers with the other X-lines: “X-Unsent: 1″. Save the changes, then double-click the *.eml file, do editing if needed, and click Send.

Resend Message for Outlook Express plug-in lets you resend your original email message with a mouse click. Once you install this add-in, you will have a new item under the Message menu – “Resend message…” (as shown in Screenshot)

Just highlight the sent message in the Sent Items folder, then navigate to Message and click the Resend Message … to open e-mail for editing. Enter correct email address or subject body or body text and send it. Messages can be resent from any Outlook Express or Windows Mail folder, except for Drafts.
