Most of us download movies or videos directly via torrents. But there are some common problems associated while downloading the videos via torrents. You may not be able to play the video file you just received from one of your friend. When you will try to play it might thrown an error like – “This file is broken. Seeking will not work correctly. Do you want to repair it?”. May be the AVI file have not completely copied from CD, DVD or other source or completely downloaded from the Internet (eDonkey, BitTorrent, etc). The similar situation may be-
“I was downloading the movie which was available in 5 parts via torrent. Initially, the downloading process worked well but while downloading the 5th part it has thrown error. Actually the last part of the movie was corrupt. Do I need to search for the other source? Do I need to download the movie all over again?”
Actually you don’t need to do that because you can command WinRAR to ignore the error and continue extracting whatever it can by enabling “Keep broken files” option under miscellaneous when extracting. 5) e-Mule Plugin
The eMule Part File Access Module is a plugin for VLC specifically developed to play back incomplete or broken files. Using this plugin such content may be played back without stuttering and even seeking (fast forwarding), i.e. jumping to any given position in the video, is possible. Supports *.avi, *.mpg, *.mpeg, *.divx, *.xvid, *.zip, *.rar, *.ace or any other multimedia format when VLC is used.

The utility rebuild the index of partially downloaded AVI movie files to enable viewing. When you play avi file you will notice message:“This file is broken. Seeking will not work correctly. You can recode the corrupted or damaged avi file using AvideMux. Just load the file into tool and set the left menu to ‘Mpeg-4 XviD’ to recode the avi file. Now, save the file with different name.
