Being a software consultant I am in contact with multiple people around the world. It becomes extremely important for me to know the exact time before I make any important call to the person. I searched for the tool in Google that is freeware and is flexible enough to include any city around the globe.
Foxclock is a firefox addon that displays local times around the world in your status bar or any toolbar. You can choose from a set of useful time formats or create your own.
Different color for the clock can be set to different city. You can even define the color change at a particular time. For example you (in US) need to convey an important message to Catherine at 9:00 AM who is in Australia. You can set a clock change color (perhaps green when Catherine reaches her office at 9:00 AM in Australia).
How to use FoxClocks?
- Open firefox browser and navigate to Tools -> FoxClocks. Now, create a clock for each time zone you want to see and optionally change the clock’s default time
- Customize the clocks style color and alternate color
- Choose one of the standard time formats for your clocks or create your own.
Once done you can view the clocks in the firefox status bar. If the status bar looks cluttered then follow simple steps to switch to ‘icon’ mode
- Open firefox browser and navigate to Tools -> FoxClocks
- Under Foxclock Window navigate to Tools -> Options and then select the Tab ‘Position and Styles’.
- Select the radio Buttons as shown in screenshot below. Apply the changes.
- Just hover over the FoxClocks icon to see your clocks.
FoxClocks is available in English (British and US), Belarusian, Chinese (Simplified), Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mongolian, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
