Microsoft Open XML Converters for Mac Office.

| More
Microsoft’s Office Doc Format (Open XML file formats ) has already won ISO approval 3 months back and .docx, .xlsx and .pptx files are on their way to becoming the dominant transferable file format across the globe. To make its presence everywhere, Microsoft has released a set of Open XML converters for Mac users to finally convert Open XML Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx) and Powerpoint (.pptx) files.

The tool and update to Mac Office 2004 allows users to convert files created by the 2007 and 2008 versions of Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You can either download the plug-in from here or by Microsoft Office’s built-in AutoUpdate feature. If you are using NeoOffice then the converters are also available as a stand-alone application.
