Download & Install iPhone OS 3.1

The iPhone OS 3.1 has been released and is available for download featuring Genius recommendations for apps and on-device Genius mixes, download ringtones wirelessly, organize apps in iTunes and Remotely lock iPhone with a passcode via MobileMe. You can also use 3^rd party app ‘Movement’ to arrange SpringBoard Icons on iPhone/iPod Touch.

Features in iPhone OS 3.1.

1.     Genius Recommendations for Apps - Get recommendations for apps you might like based on apps you’ve already downloaded.

2.     Genius Mixes - Have iTunes create up to 12 playlists based on what’s already in your library. You don’t even have to choose a sample song.

3.     Download Ringtones Wirelessly – You can now easily make a choice from thousands of iPhone ringtones on the iTunes Store and buy them with a tap.

4.     Organize Apps in iTunes- Use iTunes on your computer to drag apps onto virtual Home screens, then sync them to your iPhone

5.     Improved syncing for music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and photos

6.     iTunes U content organization

7.     Redeem iTunes Gift Cards, codes, and certificates in the App Store

8.     Display available iTunes account credits in the App Store and iTunes Store

9.     Save video from Mail and MMS into Camera Roll

10.  Option to “Save as new clip” when trimming a video on iPhone 3GS

11.  Better iPhone 3G Wi-Fi performance when Bluetooth is turned on

12.  Remotely lock iPhone with a passcode via MobileMe

13.  Use Voice Control on iPhone 3GS with Bluetooth headsets

14.  Paste phone numbers into the keypad

15.  Option to use Home button to turn on accessibility features on iPhone 3GS

16.  Warn when visiting fraudulent websites in Safari (anti-phishing)
