Sharing photos on the internet using flickr, photobucket, or by email is a common practice now. Photos, represented as JPEG files from digital cameras, taken at high resolutions are too large (up to 5 MB) to send over the Internet. Uploading one photo to a photo sharing website is fine, but 10, 20, or even more, this can take forever, especially on a dial-up connection.
There are many options available to resize the photographs but I was not satisfied until I found one application using which you can resize any photograph one by one or in batch.
With Fotosizer (a freeware), you can shrink JPEG image files, along with other supported formats, and eventually reduce internet transfer times. Fotosizer allows you to resize based on a custom width and height in pixels chosen by you. Or, resize based on a percentage of the photo’s original width and height. Fotosizer allows you to resize your images before adding them to your Microsoft Word documents, or PowerPoint Presentations. This reduces “bloated” document file sizes, allowing documents to be sent by email, opened quicker. It also allows photos to be uploaded quickly to photo-sharing websites such as Flickr, Snapfish
Fotosizer lets you resize in 3 easy steps, allowing you to choose the photos you want to resize, the dimensions, and where you want to save the new photos. You can resize quickly and easily using a preset list of sizes including iPod, iPhone, and Sony PSP screen sizes. It supoorts many file formats like – *.jpg, *.jpeg *.png *.bmp *.tga and *.gif Fotosizer [FAQ Download]
