Download Facebook Albums with a Single Click using FacePAD

Recently I uploaded hundreds of Christmas Eve and New Year photographs on my facebook account to share with my friends residing in other countries. But they wanted to download all the photographs on their laptop so that they can view anytime and anywhere without internet connection. Saving each photograph one by one is very annoying and a time waster.

I discovered FacePAD (Facebook Photo Album Downloader) that allows you to download your friends’ facebook albums with the click of a button.

How to download albums using FacePAD?

1)       The plugin works with firefox. First install firefox browser if you are using some other internet browser.

2)       Open FacePAD link in Firefox and click ‘Add to Firefox’ button. This will install the plugin into your firefox browser.

3)       Open the Facebook Album link (in Firefox Browser). Right-click with your mouse on the name/link of a facebook album you wish to download. You will notice the Option ‘Download Album with FacePAD option’ as shown in screenshot below.

4)       Click the ‘Download Album with FacePAD option’.

5)       JavaScript pop-up will appear telling you to wait for sometime till it initiates the download process. (Note- Make sure you have disabled ‘Block Pop-Up’ in your browser).

6)       Press OK and the photos will be downloaded to Firefox’s default download directory. You may search the photos in -> C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder. Developers of this firefox addon are currently working on to allow the user to specify a custom download directory upon downloading a photo album.

Please Note-

If there are more than one page of photos in facebook, then more than one JavaScript pop-up will appear (one for each page, where 1 page = 20 photos).

Suppose if an album contains: 65 Photos
