Screensaver is good way of saving computer power and of course your electricity bill. The default screensavers that comes along with windows pack are not very attractive. But you can create your own screensaver with few clicks without knowing any computer language. Flickr downloader allows you to download photos from Flickr and create Flash slideshow for your website or a screensaver. Flickr has got a great collection of high resolution pictures available. If you wish to create the slideshow or screensaver from your wedding photos then you can directly select them from your computer. Here is the complete process for creating custom screensavers.

 

How to use flickr Downloader?

 

  • Download flickr Downloader and install it to your computer machine.
  • Open the application you have just installed and type the username, email, tags or groups to find the photos.

  • You can optionally select the filter criteria to make your search more relevant. Click ‘Ok’ to continue. Using the filter you can limit the number of photos to be fetched and you can even select the dates to fetch the photos.

  • Select the size (small, medium, large, original) of photos and click the download button to download the images from flickr.

  • There is a link on first screenshot that says ‘Create Flash Slideshow’. This wizard will help you in creating a HTML slideshow of your digital pictures, ready to place on your website. Click the link and window will pop-up as shown below.

  • Add the photos you recently downloaded. You can also pick-up your personal photos lying on your computer.

 

  • Select background color, Rotate time, Image transition and other parameters as shown in screenshot below. Optionally you can create a slideshow with background music and special transition effects. Check the Audio button and select the music file. Click on Next button to continue.

  • Publish the slideshow for your website, blog or create a screensaver for your computer, make sure you are not violating the flickr user’s copyright terms while posting to your personal web page.

Note - Make sure you have installed Adobe Flash Player 8 and Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 on your computer machine
