7 Ways to Add HTML Signatures in Gmail,Yahoo,Hotmail,AOL or Outlook for Powerful Social Networking

| More

Signature plays a very important role in social networking. For example your linkedIn network profile determines your powerful business network across the globe. Likewise your other network profiles like Digg, Youtube, Stumbleupon; et cetera reveals how active you are in web world. Here HTML signature plays a very important role wherein you want to add your profile links as a signature while composing an email. Gmail is the most popular email client so far. It is slowly gaining the market share. Many of them are switching to Gmail because of its better Spam control mechanism as compared to yahoo or hotmail. The interface of Gmail is quite simple or rather simplest yet powerful. But Gmail has a limitation of adding HTML signatures. You cannot insert signatures along with html tags directly in settings panel of Gmail. There are some third part tools and userscripts using which you can insert HTML signatures into your Gmail account. The article will also suggest you some tools to add interactive HTML signatures in Outlook or any other email client that supports HTML tags.

WiseStamp – Email signature 1.1

Wisestamp is most powerful addon for inserting HTML signature in Gmail. You can easily enhance and customize your email signatures. You can insert your IM & Social services like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and can design multiple Business and Private email signatures, HTML signatures & much more. Apart from Gmail it also works with Google App’s, yahoo, hotmail, and AOL. The firefox addon allows you to add your logo or image to your signature to make it more attractive and interactive.

Gmail – Insert HTML Signature

It is a userscript that inserts your HTML signature into a GMail message.

How to use Gmail – Insert HTML Signature?

·         Download Firefox browser if you are not an active user of firefox.

·         Install the Greasemonkey script into your firefox browser.

·         After the Greasemonkey script is installed you need to install the Gmail – Insert HTML Signature userscript.

·         Open Gmail and sign-in with your credentials. You will notice a link below the Gmail logo on top left. Click it to insert an HTML signature into a GMail message.

To customize your HTML signatures you need to edit the script to include the HTML for your own signature.

Using this script you can design multiple signatures as per your need. To do so you need to add a variable at the top that has your HTML in it. Then add that variable name to the array “sigs”. If you have one signature, just make sure that one variable name is in the array. If you have more than one, it will prompt you (on insertion) for which one. Otherwise it just inserts it.

You can also install the improved version of Gmail – Insert HTML Signature – v 2.1.1 which has following extended functionality -

·         It creates a navBox on the left side of the screen, towards the bottom, that lists the different HTML signatures you have recently created.

·         You need not to edit the script file; you can easily add, edit, preview and delete signatures without modifying script.

·         It automatically inserts the default signature (that you choose) into your email.
