GreenPois0n Jailbreaks iPod Touch 3G OS 3.1 Firmware

| More

Recently, Apple released iPhone OS 3.1 that included various fixes and useful features. This time instead of iPhone Dev Team, Chronic Dev Team has found the vulnerability in jailbreaking iPod Touch 3G OS 3.1 Firmware. The team is working hard to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1 before anybody else do.

Though dev team might jailbreak using signed files, but Chronic Dev Team is working on a different solution that will jailbreak iPod Touch 3 and 3G(s), possibly other devices later on, that uses exploit,Greenpois0n, that will work directly in 3.1 recovery mode, no DFU, no button pressing at all.

Chronic Dev Team has posted a video demonstration of the exploit on iPod Touch 3G named, Greenpois0n. Check the video!

  • cool. thank you for sharing
  • VERY good news, and it's about time Apple gets on this. Greenpoison left my IPod Touch 3G far too vulnerable for my liking. Good thing Apple is getting their act together.
