Watermark is the visible mark on the images like the name of the company or website URL. They are generally used to protect the images from its commercial or personal use without your permission. Even if somebody copies the image without your permission, the image will have the watermark on it letting people know that you created it. There are many commercial tools available to add watermark to photos. But why to shell out money to buy those costly softwares. I would be listing out some of the free online tools using which you can add text watermark or import logo to images or photos.
Watermark Tool is the free online watermarking software that allows you to quickly and easily protect your images with a visible watermark. The tool provides you with number of watermarking options available. You can set the text color, text transparency, position, font-size, font color and many more. You just need to upload the image (max size 100KB) and select the various watermarking options available and then click the ‘Generate’ button. Multiple images can be uploaded for watermarking images in batches.
Free watermarking tool from biggerbids is also a good option. Just select the file or mention the URL of the file and select the size. With this tool you can even import the logo of your website apart from text that is available to other online watermarking tools. Select font, alignment, color and margin to create watermark. Fill up the verification code and press the ‘Export’ button.
PicMarkr is another excellent watermarking tool that lets you to add custom watermark (image or text) to your images online and free. It is useful when you need to protect your copyrights or if you want to add comments to your photos. PicMarkr allows you to protect and brand your images by adding a custom image or text watermarks.
There is another online tool from ivertech available using which you can watermark your images for free. But there are some limitations with this tool. The size of the image file must be smaller than 4.0 MB and the image should be in JPG, GIF, PNG, or BMP format.
Most of us use Windows Live Writer as a blogging platform. If you using Windows Live Writer too then do not search for online tools as the watermarking option is available within Windows Live Writer itself. Refer my previous article on how to add watermark using Windows Live Writer.
