Step 3- Check if your iPhone has OpenSSH installed. If not then install it via Cydia. Navigate to Cydia and search for ‘OpenSSH’. Install it and reboot your iphone.
Step 4- Connect your iPhone with your computer. Please make a note that iTunes is not running.
Step 5- Open Cyberduck or fugu and enter the following details to login to your iPhone:
· Server: The IP address of your iPhone.
· Username: root
· Password: alpine
· Protocol: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)
Step 6- Now, copy CommCenter file on your computer desktop, to do this navigate to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/CommCenter.
Step 7- Open the Terminal and type the following commands:
bspatch CommCenter CommCenter-hacked CommCenter.patch
Step 8- Delete CommCenter from your Desktop and rename CommCenter-hacked to just CommCenter.
Step 9- For backup purpose, the most important step is to rename CommCenter on your iPhone to CommCenter.backup.
Step 10- Copy the new CommCenter to your iPhone.
Step 11- SSH into your iPhone or use MobileTerminal as root and chmod +755 the new CommCenter so that it’s executable.
Step 12- Reboot your phone.
Step 13- Check your Setting > General > Network, and you should have the Tethering option. If you don’t Go to http://help.benm.at on your phone and install the mobileconfig.Reboot your iPhone again.
