Enable MMS on iPhone EDGE/2G 3.1.2 Firmware

Follow the steps below to enable MMS on iPhone 2G OS 3.1.2 using Native MMS iPhone 2G from Cydia. Make sure that your iPhone 2G is jailbroken on iPhone OS 3.1.2 firmware. Mac users can follow our guide on how to jailbreak iPhone 2G 3.1.2 using Pwnage Tool and windows user can use Blackra1n to Jailbreak iPhone & iPod Touch with iPhone OS 3.1.2 firmware installed.

Step 1: After jailbreaking your iPhone 2G open “Cydia” on your iPhone.

Step 2: Navigate to Search Tab and search for iFoneGuide. Tap on it and Install it.

Step 3: After adding the iFoneGuide repo, search for “Native MMS iPhone 2G” app in Cydia and install it. The official native MMS functionality in the Messages app on your iPhone 2G will be automatically enabled.

Step 4: After install navigate to Settings>General>Network to set the parameter settings according to your carrier.

Step 5: Reboot your iPhone 2G 3.1.2 device to enjoy MMS on your iPhone 2G 3.1.2

    sadly i added the repository and searched for native mms. but nothing shows up. neither does activatemms2g. nothing comes up but swirly mms

    Well, I tried the whole procedure...twice....and the problem is that the phone doesnt seem to store the setting I provided, thus it doesent work.
    Anyone else who experience this problem?

    I have the same problem. Can't store the network setting for MMS APN, username and password. Looks like it stores the max size of the MMS though.
