We already know that Chromium is an open source web browser. Google Chrome is built on top of the code of Chromium. Google Chrome, which is now one of the fastest web browser is available for Linux users and is available in PPA repository in its pre-alpha stage. The GTK-based Linux interface looks and works just like Windows interface but some important features like bookmarks, the options window, tabbed interface and even the about window are missing.
You cannot even switch between the tabs.
The packages in Ubuntu Chromium Daily Builds PPA are pre-alpha and completely untested. So they may not work for you.
Install Chromium from the package chromium-browser (click the link to install), or by running the command below in your terminal:
sudo apt-get install chromium-browser
Looking forward for the launch of Google Chrome for Linux.
