Download Adobe ColdFusion Builder Beta

ColdFusion Builder has been released and is available for download. ColdFusion Builder is Adobe’s first integrated development environment (IDE) for developing applications using ColdFusion. ColdFusion Builder is built on top of Eclipse, and can run as a standalone installation or as a plug-in to an Eclipse or Adobe Flash Builder installation. Now you can manage your entire ColdFusion development cycle from concept to production all in one easy to use tool.

Features in ColdFusion Builder:

1.  Code editing: ColdFusion Builder provides code editors to edit CFML, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS code.
2. Code refactoring: Developer can rename, search, and preview capabilities for CFCs, CFMs, and UDFs at the project and workspace levels.
3. Custom tag dictionary support: Custom tag dictionaries will assist you with CFML code completion. Currently supports ColdFusion versions 7, 8, and 9.
4. ColdFusion Builder wizards: ColdFusion Builder provides wizards to create ColdFusion pages, ColdFusion components (CFCs), and interfaces quickly.
5. Integrated server management: Allows you to manage both local and remote server instances. The remote servers can be connected either through RDS or FTP connection. ColdFusion servers can be started or stopped at local and remote directly.
6. Integrated debugger:  Allows you to debug your applications within the IDE.
7. ColdFusion Builder extensions: Allows you to generate code, design user interfaces, and perform basic CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) operations on the database.
8. Development views: ColdFusion Builder provides many views to develop your applications easily.
9. RDS FileView: Allows you to access and explore file systems on local and remote servers.
   • RDS DataView lets you access and explore local and remote data sources.
   • Snippets view and Outline view let you reuse and streamline your code.
   • Services Browser view lets you browse through CFCs and their methods within the server web root.
