Odiogo is acronym for “Audio News To Go” – It extracts the feeds and enables users to listen to the latest news content from hundreds of news sources and blogs via MP3 players, PDAs, phones, or laptop computers.
It extracts blog posts or articles from news sites and converts them to light audio files within seconds. The files can easily be uploaded to any MP3 players
Let me explain you how the application works ?
Odiogo converts the content on any website containing RSS feeds into small audio files using cutting-edge text-to-speech technology. It’s new artificial intelligence technology observes punctuation and speech patterns to provide a better audio quality.
Every page of text converts, on average, into a 2 MB-2.5 MB audio file, allowing approximately 200 articles to be stored on a 512 MB MP3 player.
Odiogo™ requires a PC running Windows XP or 2000 with at least 128 MB memory and 5 GB hard drive space. Having installed the software, users simply select their desired news feeds using the “Feeds” button, click “Refresh” to start downloading the latest articles from the selected feeds and convert them into MP3 files, and, lastly, drag and drop the MP3 files produced by Odiogo into your MP3 enabled device.
