Ever thought of controlling your iTunes using your voice? Yes ! you can. Voodoo Voice (free apps) allows you to control iTunes using some voice commands. You can give commands like “begin play”, “next song”, or “switch to <name of song in play list>” using your computer’s microphone.
Features of Voodoo Voice
- Available voice commands:
- “begin play”, “stop play”
- “next song”, “previous song”, “switch to <name of song>”, “play something by <artist name>”
- “increase volume”, “decrease volume”, “set volume XX percent”, “enable/disable shuffle”, “enable/disable repeat”
- “what is this?” – reads the name of the song aloud.
- Fully configurable – Voodoo Voice allows you to configure the spoken phrase that activates each command.
- Personalities (as discussed below) can be used for more better audio experience.

With ‘Personalities’ you can define the sounds or voices that Voodoo Voice uses to respond to your voice commands making your audio experience more stylish.
How to install a Personality
- Download the ZIP file and unzip it on your computer desktop.
- Load Voodoo Voice and click the “Open New Personality” button on the toolbar.
- Select the file with PSN3 file extension from the ZIP file you extracted in step 1
- Voodoo Voice will load the new personality and tell you when it is ready to accept voice commands.
