Launch Computer Applications Quickly with AppManager

| More

We do not create shortcut on computer desktop for each and every program to avoid cluttering. If you are looking for a tool that can save your time by launching the programs then AppManager works best. AppManager is a free tool that allows you to launch your computer programs or applications with two clicks or just using keyboard. It helps you to manage your computer programs without any need to create shortcuts on computer desktop to avoid cluttering.

How to use the AppManager?

Upon the first launch StartUp will suggest the “Start\All programs” and/or “Quick launch” menu scan to get a list of links for all available applications. You can always remove the unwanted links – to do that, just drag-and-drop the link (or the caption of a group of links) on the recycle bin icon, that appears at the bottom-right of StartUp’s main window when you start dragging. You can always add new links for applications, files, or folders by simply dropping them on the StartUp’s main window.

Using the Application Manager (which can be accessed via the “+” key) you can create and remove links and link groups and arrange them. It also allows to search for application links through various folders, including the system menu folders like “Start\All programs” or “Quick launch”.

Using the Preferences section you can set the “Autorun” option which will direct StartUp to run automatically whenever the computer starts. Also there is a button that can help you navigate to the folder, containing the StartUp’s settings. Warning! – Modifying these settings manually might cause the reset of current settings. Also you can set options “Start minimized” and “Always On Top”.

AppManager features:

1.     Use Alt + ~ to show/hide the main window (Esc also hides the main window).

2.     To show/hide main window you can use “mouse activation” – click mouse in the screen left edge (or in left upper corner). This option is turning on/off in settings.

3.     Quick Search – simply start typing the application’s name in the main window.

4.     Use the context menu to edit the links promptly.

5.     Use drag-and-drop for links and link groups (drag the group’s caption).

6.     You can start multiple applications holding Alt key.

7.     If you drop file on link-application holding Alt key, file will be opened by linked application.
