The Airtel Champions League T20 is scheduled to start in India on 08-Oct-2009. The ACL T20 will see 12 of the best domestic clubs from across the world battle for the ultimate glory. ESPN Star Sports has been announced as the official broadcasters to telecast live matches on television screen and have bagged worldwide broadcast rights for the tournament at a whopping USD 975 million for a period of 10 years. Airtel, one of Asia’s leading telecom service providers, will be the title sponsor for a period of 5 years. Cricket maniacs can get the Tickets from Café Coffee Day outlets and at airports in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The ticket would cost Rs 100 and the highest priced tickets would cost Rs 3000.

1.     Six million USD as the prize money

2.     34 match cameras will be used for the first time in Airtel Champions League T20.

3.     11 players will get golden star for an All Stars XI

There will be a total of 23 matches and the teams are divided into four groups

Group B:
New South Wales (Australia), Diamond Eagles (South Africa), Sussex Sharks (England)
