Recently Geogot released blackra1n (Windows and Mac version) to jailbreak iPhone and iPod Touch with 3.1.2 installed within 30 seconds. Blackra1n is slightly buggy and after jailbreaking iPhone, mobilesubstrate, iPhone browser, winterboard, diskaid, or ifunbox may stop working for you. The reason is simple – No support for afc2. All these application uses the afc2 service to access the file system but blackra1n utility do not register the afc2 service which is needed to access the root file system.
iPhone users are facing lots of issues due to unavailability of afc2 support in blackra1n. Most of them have suggested to port the afc2 patch as a plist file via OpenSSH and WinSCP which is very annoying for some of the iPhone users. iPhone geeks may follow the complete procedure to manually add afc2 patch as a plist file.
Instead doing manually, you can search on Cydia for an app called afc2add soon after jailbreaking your iPhone or iPod Touch 3.1.2, install it and then reboot your iPhone. afc2add patch will fix the issues coming in mobilesubstrate, iPhone browser, winterboard and diskaid after jailbreaking
