You use Watermark to protect your images or photos on web. You need not search anymore for free online utilities to add watermark to your photos nor need you to shell out money to buy one. Using Windows Live Writer you can easily add the watermark to your photos or images for free. If you are not using windows live writer, still you can use this free service.

Follow the simple steps to add the watermark to any of your photos or images.

  • Choose the photo or image you want to add into your blog post. Click ‘Insert Picture..’ URL situated at the bottom right of the windows live writer.
  • Choose the image to which you want to add the watermark. The image should be visible to you in the windows live writer. Double click on the image. You will notice properties pane to the right.
  • Click on the tab – “Effects”. Select the plus button.
  • Select Overlays->Watermark.
  • Add the Watermark Text, Font Family , font size and suitable position.

If you are not an active user of Windows Live Writer then do not worry. You just need to open an account on hotmail and login windows live writer. Follow the simple steps mentioned above. Copy the Image on which you have added the watermark. You can even use snag-it tool to capture the photo and you may use that image anywhere.
