The photographs or images taken from digital cameras are big in size and eats a lot of space of your computer disk. How to resize the images without compromising much with the quality? This is one of the common problems with all of us. If you are an active blogger or webmaster then you must be posting lots of your images on internet, but sploggers or content thief steals your image (which is not copyright protected) and post the image which originally belongs to you. In such cases adding watermark to your images plays an important role. Watermark is a text or a logo that appears on image which identifies the owner of the media.
The ‘Fast Image Resizer for Java Tool’ serves both the purpose. It resize all JPEG/JPG images of a directory of your choice, you can easily generate web galleries for the images. After resizing you can store all resized images in a ZIP file.
The beauty of this application is that you can add text or image watermark to the images or photos.
How to use Fast Image Resizer to resize or add watermark?
1) Download Fast Image resize. Unzip it and double click the executable file. Following window will open up. Click on ‘Options’.
2) Once Option is selected you will notice a small window. There are four options available to it – Output, Watermark, language and Extended as shown in the screenshot below.
3) Select ‘Output’ option to resize the image. You can move the slider left or right to decrease or increase the quality of an image.
4) Select ‘Watermark’ tab to add the watermark to the images. Watermark can be a simple text or you can add the logo by importing the logo image. Select fonts, font color and size of your choice and choose any of the six predefined location for placing the watermark on photo.
Note – The application is OS independent (JAVA) and is available in two languages – German and English.
