How to add, insert or Embed Google Calendar on website or Blog

| More

Google Calendar helps to keep track of all your life’s important events – birthdays, get-together or reunions, doctor’s appointments, and Client meetings – all in one place. Events and invitations can be created and added easily in Google Calendar that can be shared with friends and family and to everybody across the globe. You can share your schedule directly on your blog by embedding the Google Calendar on webpage. Just follow the simple steps below-

How to Embed Google Calendar on a website or Blog

1.       Open your Google Calendar .In the calendar ‘My Calendars’ list on the left side, click the down-arrow and select ‘Share this Calendar’ option as shown in the image below-

2.       Check the box ‘Make this Calendar Public’. Once you make the calendar public, all of your events will appear in the public search results of Google Calendar and Google Web Search. If you make your calendar public and select ‘Share only my free/busy information (hide details)’ your event details will not appear in Google Web Search or Google Calendar search results. Only your free/busy information will be visible to those who access your calendar at its address or add it to their calendar list.

3.       Click ‘Save’ to continue.

4.       The next step is to embed the Google calendar to the website or blog. Select the ‘Calendar Settings’ as shown in the screenshot below.

5.       Once you click Calendar Settings, a detailed window will appear. Look for ‘Embed This Calendar’.

6.       Copy the HTML code and paste on your website or blog, if you do not want to change the look and feel of the calendar.

7.       To change the default look of Google Calendar, you may optionally click on the link ‘Customize the color, size, and other options’ which is placed just above the HTML code. Adjust width, height, background color, Language, border, icons and various other options that suits best to your blog or website.

8.       Copy the modified HTML code and Paste the code into your website to embed your Google calendar. Look into the example below. Bacground color and other attributes can be changed as instructed in Step 7–
