Google calendar is wonderful web application to effectively manage both time and work and can be accessed in offline mode, i.e. when you are no longer connected to internet, via Google Calendar Offline Beta. The offline version only allows you to view planned schedules and events. GMinder is yet another desktop calendar utility that works in offline mode, supports multiple calendars and allows you to configure how you want to be alerted. In simpler terms, GMinder is a reminder program that waits in your system tray and alerts you when you have an upcoming Google Calendar event
