Driving traffic to your blog is not a difficult task. There are some tips that one need to know to increase the revenue exponentially. Traffic to my blog is decent one and I want to share the ideas for generating traffic to generate the revenue. There are many websites that offers link exchange, free traffic software etc.I tried all of them, but unable to generate traffic to my blog.Though I was able to drive some but that was transitory in nature. I would suggest some tips below that helped me in generating both traffic and revenue. Following are the sources for high traffic:
1.Join forums. Following are some of the forums one can join –
Warriorforum,Blogcrowds,Blogmod,Bloggerhub,Malaysiabloggers,Anime,
Yahoo answers, Google help
But try to be actively involved in the forum .This can be corroborated by posting a topic, one can start on in a discussion about some topic in the forum. Do not forget to update your posts regularly.
2.One can exchange links during discussion in forums. There are many people who likes to exchange links because both the party will be benefiting, eventually increasing the traffic and improving the Google PageRank of your site or blog.Also they will help in creating the backlinks.
3.Visit different blogs and leave a comment with your signature that includes your blog address. Use technorati to get the information on related blogs of interest.
4.Select the related groups from Yahoo groups / Google groups/MSN Groups and join them. After joining mail across your article’s url and always use signature while mailing to anybody.
5. One can Join social networking sites such as Linkedin,Orkut,Ryze,Minglebox,Zorpia,Facebook.
6. Store your bookmarks on online social bookmarking sites and share with other users. You can bookmark your sites and share it with others. It drives a lot of traffic to your sites or blog and help your site or blog get constant traffic everyday. Get social bookmarking for your blogs.One can subscribe to the following bookmarking sites.
Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, ShoutWire,Feedburner, Del.icio.us and Technorati.
7. Check your adsense clicks by visitors using Google analytics or Mybloglog.Experiment with your adsense location using these stats.
8.Promote your blog using Zimbio.Join in various group blogs.This improves your page rank.Performancing partners takes a lot of time to get ads for your site,however it creates a link to your blog improving page rank.
9.Place ad’s in sites which offer free classifieds.
10.Use Pinging services such as petaling street,pingoat,autopinger,ping-o-matic.these sites contains lots of visitors. when you ping them, users and
visitors can see the link to your posts at the pinging sites,they will visit your blog or site if the article suits to them. In this way one can get Additional traffic.But make sure you are using these sites wisely, pinging many times on the same article may land you in trouble.Some of the pinging sites wisely track the usage and these sites may block you if you ping again and again.
11.If somebody is well acquainted with the HTML and CSS then one can post some template code for 2-colum template or 3-colum template.One can also discuss about the tricks to change the template of the blog.This is one of the area where bloggers search for.
12. You should create your own posts or articles in blog, not copy and paste from other websites. Create your own original contents for your site.This will make your blog different from others and the traffic will increase automatically.
13.Use proper template,fonts and colors.The blog should be good looking so that the user can stay for the long time.
14. Join traffic generating sites like TrafficSwarm.com
15.One can use his/her car to advertise his blog.This can add to traffic to your blog to some extent.
After implementing all the above points you will see an upsurge in your web traffic and eventually your revenue will increase exponentially.
